Carol and I have been doing some additonal work around the house. The newest thing is that we spent most of the day last Saturday re-doing the flower bed by the front window of our house. When we moved in there was sago palm and some petunias planted up there. Within a week or so we had killed the petunias. In the busyness of getting settled in and painting rooms and moving furniture around, somehow we forgot to water the plants. Oops! So then we just had a palm surrounded by wood chips. Pretty plain looking. So we decided to spruce it up again by adding more plants there. So we added two hibiscus and two azaleas and two different types of grasses. In addition to that we have planters which have zinnias and salvia in them. (I couldn’t remember any of the names except hibiscus, nor could I spell them. So Carol hollered the names and spellings to me from the living room. Thanks honey.) I think it looks much better now. We have given them some Miracle Grow, and on the days that it hasnt rained, we have remembered to water them. So far, so good. Here are a couple of pictures of the flower garden. ND
