We just checked our Kansas banking account and the mortgage on the Overland Park house has been paid in full! I had to track down the payoff check today because neither the bank nor the title company claimed to have it. Finally the gal at the title company tracked it down for me. Someone at the bank did have it. They just hadnt gotten around to posting it yet. Today was the last day that it could be paid off without our July payment being late. Do you think that the reason they hadn’t gotten around to it was because if it posted tomorrow they could collect a late fee from us? Hmm. It feels good to officially be done with that loan! ND
