Looks like our accommodations at the Hospital we will be using are nice. Here is the information given by the website:
Having a baby is a special moment for any mother, but at North Florida Regional we want to make sure that every mother who has her baby at The Women’s Center has the very best experience possible.
Women and families are able to remain in the same room during labor, delivery and recovery and continue to receive care in a postpartum unit. The rooms contain all the comforts of home, including a rocking chair, desk, TV, VCR, sofa bed and jetted tub. Most rooms provide a relaxing view of the duck pond. Although the maternity room has the appearance of a pleasant bedroom, it can convert to a delivery room within minutes. After delivery, mother and baby can remain in the same room unless the mother prefers to have her baby in the nursery so she can rest.
Another convenience for parents is that many obstetrician and pediatrician offices are located right in The Women’s Center. In addition, the Special Care Nursery is staffed 24 hours each day by a team of nurses, neonatologists, pediatricians and other health professionals who have had specialized training in caring for sick and premature babies.
While Carol is busy doing her labor/birthing stuff, I might go ahead and enjoy a nice bath in the jetted tub. (Just kidding honey)
