Carol celebrated her 40th birthday on April 18th.  Her mom was able to come into town for the weekend since it also happened to be Easter weekend.  There was quite the shindig.  There were decorations, cake, a special birthday dinner of lobster (thanks Nana!), silly string, and presents.  I think Carol had a pleasant time even though she was not terribly excited to be leaving her 30’s.
