After much contemplation, I decided recently to begin looking for a new job. My current job does not have a health insurance plan that would be beneficial to Carol and I (and the child currently in the womb), so we have been using the insurance provided by Carol’s job.

With Carol’s company going through a merger there is some concern that her job may not be secure following her return from maternity leave. So to ease some of our stress about the possibility of losing our health insurance coverage, I began looking for another job about a month and a half ago.

I found an open position at a company located across the street from my current job and I interviewed with them a couple of weeks ago. On Monday of this week I received an offer letter. I accepted and I begin my new job on April 21st! It includes health AND retirement benefits!! So that is one less thing to lose sleep over after the baby arrives (we’ll be losing enough sleep already!)
