New Wheels
I got my 1999 Pontiac Sunfire in 2003 (before Carol and I were even married) with around 20,000 miles and put over another 110,000 miles on her. We decided recently that it was time to trade in the Pontiac while it still had a little trade-in value and before something major went wrong. So we began looking online for something that Carol would like, since I picked out the last car that we bought (a 2007 Dodge Caliber). I found something that I thought she would like at our local Honda dealership and we went to test drive it. We decided to go ahead and buy it the next day, only to find out that it had sold the night before. So Carol continued to search and found another vehicle very much like it about 1.5 hours down the Interstate. So I cleaned up “Baby Blue” and got her ready to trade in.
On a Saturday afternoon in February, Carol drove down to the dealership and test drove the car we had seen online. She loved it and and we decided to go ahead and make a major purchase. She loves it! It is a 2014 Honda Accord with manual transmission and a bunch of cool features that we’ve never had before: backup camera, blind spot camera, bluetooth, and seat warmers. It even has a sunroof, which is something that Carol has missed since her old Saturn got totaled five years ago. It has plenty of room for the kids in the back. And is fun to drive (it has been years since either of us owned a manual transmission car). So here are Carol’s new wheels; she calls it “Fancy”.
