Christmas 2010
This year was the year that we stayed home for Christmas. Luckily we were still able to see family as Carol’s mom passed through Gainesville on her way to her place down in the Keys. It was nice to spend a few days with her. She was able to go with Grant and I to listen to Carol sing with the Gainesville Civic Choristers. [Carol not pictured]
Nana Reid made it safely to her place in the Keys in time for Christmas. For our family Christmas we made an Apple Pear Pie on Christmas Eve (I peeled and cut the fruit, Carol did the rest) and attended a Christmas Eve service at Trinity United Methodist Church. It was a beautiful service which Grant attended with us.
On Christmas morning, Grant woke up to find that Santa had visited during the night and filled his stocking with goodies toys. After breakfast, he opened Santa’s stocking gifts and then the ones that Moma and Dada had gotten him. He seemed to very excited about the gifts this year. In fact, in the days leading up to Christmas he kept picking up presents from under the tree and saying “what is it? what is it?!”
Here are some pictures from our Christmas festivities.
