School Pictures

Since Grant (8th grade) and Jenna (2nd grade) did school remotely this year, due to Covid, we took our own school pictures.  We also took a picture of Jenna’s primary teacher, Mrs. Dungan.

Meeting Baby Cousin

Nate’s brother and sister-in-law celebrated the arrival of their baby girl.  We were able to do a outside visit with them to be able to meet her.

Vacation to Fall River, KS

Carol found an RV for rent in Fall River, KS that we decided to try out.  It was permanently parked, so we didn’t have to worry about driving it or connecting it.  We thought this would be a good first step as we one day plan to rent an RV and drive it on vacation.

Halloween with Nana

Nana joined us for Halloween this year. We enjoyed Halloween crafts, trick or treating, and family festivities.

Art Show of Nelson Dungan

Nate’s Dad, a former art teacher, had a show/sale at the Beatrice library with a couple of other former teachers (one who had woodworking in the show and the other who had photography).

Quilt Museum

Carol visited a local museum featuring artistic quilts.

Horse Riding

The weather was so nice that horseback riding lessons were able to continue into November!

Jenna’s Birthday

Jenna turned 9 this year and we had a quiet birthday at home.  Later we met Nate’s parents at a park so that they could give Jenna her gift.

Zoo Lights

We felt it was safe to go back to see the Christmas lights at the Lincoln Zoo this year since it is an outdoor event.  It was beautiful, as always.

Christmas Decorations

Nate and Grant decorated the outside of the house again this year.  Carol and Grant worked on the inside decorations.

Christmas

Christmas is always a fun time for the family.  You might notice that the living room floor is just cement in these pictures.  That is because we decided the week before Christmas would be a great time to pull up the carpet and get a floor leveling company to come out to raise the slab where it had sunk over the years.  We have been wanting to replace the carpet in that room with flooring to match the rest of the main level of the home, but couldn’t until the floor was more level.

Carol’s Beach Trip

After Christmas, Carol made a trip down to the closest beach to spend a few days relaxing and rejuvenating after a hard first semester to the school year.  She enjoyed getting a few days to herself and also explored an area of the country that we may want to visit in an RV someday.  Probably her favorite part was the horseback riding on the beach.
