Carol has taken tonight off for an early birthday celebration. She attempted to keep the plans a secret but I figured out what was going on (she rarely can keep secrets from me).

Several weeks ago, while over on the campus of The University of Florida I saw a poster for an upcoming event on the front of the Phillips Center for Performing Arts.  I mentioned that it would be neat to see, but didn’t think we could because it fell on a work night for Carol.  So I forgot about it.

I have been struggling this week with head cold symptoms, so a few days ago Carol told me that I couldn’t be sick because we had plans Friday night.  She told me that she had taken the night off from work and arranged for Grant to go spend the evening with our friends Linda and Tom.

I didn’t intend to nose around too much to figure out what she had planned, but then I heard a commercial on the radio for the event at the Phillips Center.  I remembered that I had shown interest in the event and then realized that it was on the same night that Carol had take off work.  So I accidentally figured out that we are going to see The Official Blues Brothers Revue tonight.  I am excited to see it.  I enjoyed the movie and the soundtrack.  Here is a video of the commercial I heard on the radio which tipped me off of the plan for tonight.
