Family Visit – July 2010
Gramma and Pa Dungan came for a visit over the 4th of July holiday. To keep their visit a relaxing time we decided not to take any day long trips and instead did some things locally.
Horse Retirement Farm:
After seeing a previous blog post about the horse retirement farm, my mom requested that one of the places we visit be that farm. So on the Saturday that they were here we went over to the retirement farm in Alachua.
Home Depot:
After Pa and Gramma found out that Grant loves Home Depot, we decided to make a trip over there so that Grant could see the lights, fans and doors (some of his favorite things in the whole world!). He made such an impression on one of the store employees that she got him his own Home Depot apron (not pictured).
Library:
Grant loves to visit the local library because it has both books and a playground. Gramma and Pa both enjoyed browsing through some books while we were there.
Sugar Cookies:
One of the activities that Gramma and Pa wanted to do with Grant during their visit was to make sugar cookies. They had bought Grant his own rolling pin and were excited to have him use it. We weren’t sure if Grant would have the interest or attention span to help with cookies but were pleasantly surprised. He spent at least half an hour cutting cookies with Pa and another half an hour decorating with Gramma later on. He seemed to really enjoy the whole process!
Botanical Garden:
Looks like you guys had a great visit. Nice informative post, and some great pictures.
