Grant’s 4th Birthday
This year Grant’s birthday fell on a weekend so we turned the entire weekend into a birthday celebration. On Friday night, when I got home, Grant and I took apart his crib and moved his new “big boy bed” into his room. He was quite excited to get the bed and we had to lay on it for a while together after we put the bedding on it.
On Saturday, we went over to Ginnie Springs for about four hours and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The water from the natural springs remains at 72 degrees year-round (but felt much colder than that to me!).
On Sunday, we decorated the house and made a cake. After lunch, we had birthday cake.
Then we started opening gifts. While we were finishes up gift opening, the Battens came over to celebrate Grant’s birthday. We enjoyed spending some time with them and everyone enjoyed playing Hungry, Hungry Hippos.
The Legos were the first thing that he opened and we immediately had to take a break in the opening of presents to build something with doors and windows.
Okay, a few things: Uncle Chuck does need to come and help build with the leggos! Grant would love that. Secondly, what was that airplane thing? Also, I want to play Hungry, Hungry Hippos with Grant, but love how he can play it all by himself. Will he like the main birthday gift we are bringing with us since he already has Scooby? The birthday song was great. And finally….did he use the money to buy a smushy, I mean slushie 🙂
The money went into his piggy bank…I could go for a “smushy”, we might need to make a trip to the gas station.
Looks like a good time was had by all! What a fun 4th Birthday celebration for Grant.
