July 2021 to September 2021
July 2021
Independence Day
It was nice to celebrate the 4th of July with Nate’s parents.
Fishing
We were able to do some fishing at a nearby lake with Gramma and Pa. Grant had the best luck, catching three fish.
Horse Riding
The kids enjoyed getting to go back to horse riding lessons.
Arbor Lodge (Nebraska City)
Carol took a quick trip over to Nebraska City for some quality alone time.
Lawn Mower in Training
Grant got his first lesson in driving a lawn mower. I am sure this will come in handy one day very soon.
Clay Center, KS Vacation
Carol found and rented a lodge out in the country near Clay Center, KS for a summer trip. It has a small pond on it that we were able to use for kayaking and fishing. Nate caught one tiny fish the entire time he was there. Even so, it was a fun week together as a family. Grant even diagnosed and fixed an issue with the A/C units at the house (we should have sent them a bill).
Random & Silly Pictures of the Month
Super Daisy, Lazy Daisy, a firepit in the rain and a dinosaur in a chair.
August 2021
Visit from Nana
We didn’t do a lot in August of 2021, but we did enjoy a nice visit from Nana. She and the kids enjoyed spending time in the pool together. The kids also started school remotely again.
Random & Silly Pictures of the Month
New flooring in the office and dining room, dog cuddles, a garden harvest and puppies snuggling.
September 2021
Pets
Not a lot went on in September 2021. We did spend a lot of time at home with our pets. Carol was busy teaching Jenna and assisting Grant.
Helping with Horses
There is a local therapist who uses equine therapy with some of her patients. Carol volunteers once a week to go out to the acreage and help feed, water and clean the horses’ stalls. Meet Mona, Chance, and Dixie.
Random & Silly Pictures of the Month
Ducks along a neighborhood walking path, Jenna pretending to sleep and Nate and Jenna being silly.
