We made a trip down to Long Key, FL to visit Barbara Reid before she left her Florida house for the summer.  We told Grant about the trip a couple of weeks before and he was REALLY excited about it.  “Going to Nana’s house in a couple of weeks” was heard repeatedly.  Finally the day arrived, but Grant did not realize how long it was going to take to drive there.  Now that the trip is over and we are back home, he has been saying “had to drive, and drive, and drive to Nana’s house”.

Here is a video of Grant and I from the beach.  I think Barb had recently called him sweetie pie because he was referring to himself as that prior to the start of this recording.  The splashing of the waves became the “whoa, sweetie pie!!” game.
