Kitchen remodel progress
We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen, here is how it looked when we moved in.
Here is how it looked after we repainted (and how it has looked for the past 6 years).
We tore out the old cabinets ourselves (with some help from our neighbors since Carol wasn’t in any condition to take on a project like that).
A great sale at Home Depot allowed us to get some nice cabinets without breaking the bank and Carol found a local company to install them for a reasonable price.

Carol convinced me that I was capable of installing an over-the-range microwave oven. I managed to get it installed without a major injury and trip to the emergency room, which is always my goal. And the microwave is working, so that is a plus.

And now we wait for the new counter-tops to be installed. In the meantime, the old counter-top was placed back on and the plumbing to one side of the sink re-attached so that we can have a somewhat functioning kitchen.

Hopefully we’ll have a completed kitchen in the next couple of weeks! We’ll post more pictures when it is done.

Thanks for all the new photos, Nate. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
