We were able to celebrate Grant’s birthday with his Aunt Laura this year. Aunt Laura came into town the day before his birthday to see him. On his birthday, while Dad was at work Momma and Laura took Grant to see the ducks at a pond over near the hospital where Grant was born. They took old bread with them and fed the ducks and the 15 or so baby ducks that were around the pond.

Dad left work early and was able to get the dining room decorated a little bit before Grant and the gals got back from duck feeding.

We enjoyed a nice lunch together, followed by opening some gifts.

After playing a little longer Grant took a rest. I say rest because he refused to go to sleep. While he was resting the adults worked together to decorate his birthday cake and make some homemade ice cream.

We had a nice supper together before Momma went to work. Grant seemed to like his cake and ice cream!
