Pics of the Kids
We recently got professional pictures taken of the kids for Jenna’s third birthday. We normally would have gone to the mall, but the Olan Mills in Belk closed. So Carol decided to use a studio photographer who was highly recommended. On the day of the appointment, we dressed the kids up and made it on time to the appointment (rare that we are on time to anything these days). Only to find that the photographer was not there. Attempts to reach the photographer were unsuccessful. We didn’t want to scrap the plans since the kids were dressed up, so we both quickly got on our phones to try to find another photographer. The other studio at the mall didn’t have any appointments and a couple of other places we drove by were closed.
Finally, Carol got ahold of Mike Shea who agreed to squeeze us in on a Saturday morning even though we didn’t have an appointment. We really liked Mike, but we weren’t sure how good the pictures were turning out because Jenna kept walking off and she didn’t want to smile. Eventually, we felt like maybe we’d gotten a few good ones so we paid our sitting fee and were on our way. A week or so later, Carol went back over to Mike’s studio to take a look at the images. And she was thrilled to find out that they turned out super cute! Beautiful dress and handsome shirt provided by Marilyn and Otto Schiff. 🙂 Take a look.
No sweeter photos ever! Well worth the effort, for sure! Nana
