Racquetball
Carol and I have started playing racquetball and are considering going pro. We have played 3 times so far and have shown improvement each time. We play in an outdoor court and judge improvement by the number of times that we send the ball out of the court over the walls into the grass or one of the other three courts. We also judge improvement by the number of times we jack each other with the ball. We are so good that we can hit the other person without really even trying. We get great exercise jumping out of the way of balls. We don’t play points to determine the winner. We play for a set amount of time and then two days later we count the number of bruises on our bodies. The one with the fewest bruises wins. I know that I am getting better because I am starting to avoid slamming my body into the walls as much. That results in fewer bruises also. One of these days, when Carol and I will get good enough that we don’t just go into the court and just start swinging the racquet wildly, we might actually start keeping score. Until then, I would suggest that you stay far, far away from the racqetball courts when we are playing.
