Spring Break 2016
The kid’s Spring Break fell closer to the end of March this year. We headed down Florida’s Turnpike for what has become our annual Spring Break trip to “Nana’s Florida House”. We left on the Saturday before the start of the Spring Break week. We drove for nine hours (much of the time through the rain) before arriving safely at Outdoor Resorts on Long Key, FL. Upon our arrival we were greeted warmly by Nana who had supper ready for us. The weather was a little cooler and windier than we expected, but we were still able to do most everything that we wanted to do, including swimming in the canal, going to the beach, pool, a little shopping, and the Dolphin Research Center. We were, of course, treated to Nana’s hospitality and great cooking. The kids especially enjoyed themselves.
Here are some pictures of the trip.
