Thanksgiving was our holiday at home this year and we decided to do it up right. We decided to go with the full Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixin’s. Believe it or not, I (Nate) actually made one of the dishes by myself and assisted with most of the others (peeling and cutting potatoes, carving the turkey, etc). Here are some pictures of our first Thanksgiving where we did everything ourselves (it was kind of scary for us!).
Before we could start the cooking we needed to do some Thanksgiving artwork. Grant and Carol worked together on a picture:

And here are the pictures of the meal:

As you can see, we had turkey (10 lbs worth, which we will be eating until next Thanksgiving!), homemade stuffing, real mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, pineapple cheese casserole (Dungan family recipe), pumpkin pie, ginger cookies (Reid family recipe) and a beverage resembling bubbly. When we told people what all we were preparing, their first question was, “how many people are you having over?” And our response was, “no one, it’s just us”. Everything except the turkey was consumed by the end of the Thanksgiving weekend. I believe we all gained a bit of weight this year! 🙂
“Hey, where’s my turkey and stuffing!”
Looks tasty. Where is the umbrella for Nate's drink?
