A note to Freddy
Freddy,
When Carol and I first started dating – you were there.
When Carol and I became a serious couple – you were there.
When Carol and I got engaged to be married – you were there.
When Carol and I came home as man and wife – you were there.
When Carol and I had to be apart during our move to Florida – you were there.
When Carol and I were reunited in our new home – you were there.
When Carol and I announced that she was pregnant – you were there.
When Carol and I brought Grant into our home – you were there.
When Carol and I watched Grant grow from a baby to a toddler – you were there.
But when I woke up this morning and looked at the foot of the bed – you were NOT there.
There is a special place in my heart for pets – and you will ALWAYS BE THERE.
Nate
To Carol and Nate – we are so sorry that
you have lost your faithful pet. Otto
and I met this very nice dog some years
back on a visit to Kansas. Marilyn
This is so sad Nate! I feel for you. We had Tubby for 14 yrs and believe me not a day goes by that I don't think about him or Jon or one of the boys mentions him. You will never look at another dog of the same breed without remembering Freddy. It's hard but it keeps his memory alive. It's really hard when you lose a great dog! Hang in there.
Nathanael,
I am sorry that you lost one of your best friends.
This too has weighed heavily on my heart this week.
Thank you for sharing your poem with all of us.
Lovingly,
Your brother Andrew.
