Flooring Project and New Furniture

Nate surprised Carol by having the majority of the flooring project completed by the time she returned from her beach trip.  Upon completing the full project in January, a new couch and loveseat set were purchased to replace the furniture that was 17+ years old.  The last part of the project was to redo the fireplace hearth.

We didn’t get much snow this year, but we got a little in January.

Carol made cookies for Valentine’s Day.  They were delicious.

Nate had another birthday.  He bought himself a toy RC car with his birthday money.

Braces for Grant

Grant did a great job during his appointment with the orthodontist to get his braces put on.

Spring Break Trip to Lake of the Ozarks

For Spring Break this year, we took a trip down to the Lake of the Ozarks.  Carol found us a small rental house with its own private dock.  We took the kayaks with us and did some kayaking on the lake and some fishing.  The water temperature was about 40ºF, so we didn’t do any swimming.  We took the kids go-kart racing, visited a state park, and did some sight seeing at Bagnell Dam that created the lake.
