Uke Show at Lied Center
Carol bought two tickets to see a group of Ukulele players from England at the Lied Center and took Grant with her, since he plays that instrument. They were excellent singers and musicians and Carol and Grant enjoyed the show.

Carol’s Birthday
We celebrated Carol’s birthday in April and the timing was such that her friend Becky was able to be at the house, as she and Carol headed to Minnesota for the weekend to see a concert Becky’s son was performing in.

Carol’s Trip to Minnesota
Carol and her friend Becky traveled together to Northfield, Minnesota for a weekend, so that Becky could see her son play in an Orchestra concert and she invited Carol along since she knows that Carol enjoys concerts (and they hadn’t been able to spend much time together in a while). Becky came by the house for lunch and then she and Carol headed on up to Minnesota, where they had a great time catching up and seeing the concert. St. Olaf’s college has a beautiful campus.

The crabapple tree bloomed beautifully this year. And Carol got a good garden going again in her backyard garden area.

RV Trip to the Double Nickel
Carol found a really neat RV place to go to on vacation that had daily crafts, games, mini golf, etc. It was called the Double Nickel and it was only about an hour from Lincoln. Everyone enjoyed the time spent together. The owners were super nice.

Swimming Lessons
It has been a while since Jenna had swimming lessons and she had made a lot of progress in our backyard pool. Since the pool was not going to be put up this summer, Jenna took swimming lessons again to work on her skills. She enjoyed the session and practiced swimming under water, doing the backstroke and freestyle stroke to gain strength.

Workday in Beatrice / Park Waterfall
The family went down to Nate’s parents place in Beatrice to help them with some chores around the house, like cutting down dead branches. After the work was done, they went over to a local park which had fixed a waterfall that hadn’t been in service since Nate was a kid. It was a good time to get some work done but also enjoy family time.

Firepits
The family continues to enjoy having a firepit in the backyard to enjoy nice weather.

Father’s Day
Nate got breakfast in bed for Father’s Day this year too.

Horse Riding
The kids received certificates and ribbons for their accomplishments at horse lessons!
